Modi governance & sky rocketing prices

I am an ardent well wisher and admirer of Mr. Modi. Of late, I feel highly concerned.

While Modi government is celebrating completion of two years of governance, one cannot miss the fact that the common man is not joining the celebration.

Everywhere in the country, the poor people and even those belonging to middle income group are only talking about the increasing taxes and sky rocketing prices of essential commodities.

Modi government just now raised the price of coal, which will push up the cost of power generation. It has increased the service tax two times in one year bringing it to the historically highest level of 15%. This will push up the price of all commodities and services.

While Modi government talks of reform and boasting about GDP growth, introduction of information technology etc. etc., the common man is not in a mood to see all such measures as he is buckling down under the price rice in day today life. . Pulse sells at more than Rs. 200/- per kilogram and some vegetables sell at Rs. 100/ - per kilogram. Price of milk has been increased by cooperatives and people are being forced to eat less.

Education in private institutions have gone beyond the reach of the people in the lower and middle income group as private exploiters are now having a strangle hold over educational set up.

The corrupt persons and hoarders are sitting pretty and huge black money is in circulation which is also costing huge price rise.

Several more things can be said.

All said and done Modi government has not brought any joy to common man so far and it should not irritate people by rejoicing over two years of governance.

Economic pandits and planners sit in air conditioned rooms with comfortable pay packet and talk about prosperity index with graphs, tables and charts. These are people unconnected with the mood of the common man

It will be a surprise if Mr.Modi is unaware of all these and his permission for celebration of two years of governance in a lavish manner make one suspect whether Mr. Modi is living in a different world.

Even now, I continue to remain as a pledged admirer of Mr. Modi and pray that he should deliver in a way that the interests of poor and middle class are protected. He has to bring down the prices of essential commodities and this should be his highest priority. Perhaps, rooting out corruption and putting down hoarders mercilessly is a pre condition for this.

Yes , you are right common man like me and you are not able to feel the impact this is getting reflected in the elections especially in the South. A s the North feels the effect first as Capital In IN the NORTH and also He is using HINDI as the language for communication also. Even today there was a quarter page Advertisement in a regional Tamil new paper in HINDI which the total money spent for this in that too a regional language news paper is a total waste of money only and only reach the purpose for packing peanut in the beach. usually people read the peanut packed paper for time pass in the beach after emptying the content if it is in regional language at least people read in that stage . as this advertisement being in hindi in Tamilnadu, that way also his communication can not reach. So Modis two year effect can't reach through HINDI in other language regions. Also Mr Amith Sha prefer hindi knowleged people in other regions also for party positions. These people can do all icing with the northern leaders for selfish benifits and the reagional language people can not do that through hindi as they lag behind in HINDI. The hindi knowledged regional leaders can have good rapport with Northeren Leaders but not with the local peole as the style of regional language itself will irritate the grass root level individual as you can see the peopel making fun of the cine actress who speak in half cooked Tamil . this will only attact crowd and for fun not for serious listening of the matter or content . Hence Modi has to be clear in handling the regional language authority of the local leaders may be to communicate with party northern leaders translaters can be used or in ENGLISH they can discuss. or it is highly impossible to reach Modi's 2year achievement to the grass root level people. Hence the communication way will not reach the grass root level. So let us wait till people can feel only when it really knocks the door of grass root level Individual ( This will be applicable in other regional languages also) also in the state regional language strong people must have the top post so that people see them and ask questions also as the vote bank is only regional language people like north majority are Hindi more
Before next elections, people will know the factual achievements of NaMo. Let the picture complete. more
Happy to see that the big corruption by central ministers are not there. 2.Investment is increased. 3. GDP and Forex reserve is increased. 4.Much improvements in Railways. 5.Swaach Bharat has brought considerable improvement. 6. Smart cities programme 7. LPG for household in villages. 8. Electrification in more villages. 9. Digital/ Internet connection to villages. 10.Improvement in Foreign relations. All the above are wonderful performance of Modiji. But, are they going to reduce the common man's burdens? Toor dhall prices are sky rocketed. Vegetables are not in the common man's range for purchase. The senior citizens interest income is reduced and they suffer. Increase in Service tax resulted in all round increase. From 12.36% to 15% Now the price of petrol and diesel on the increase which will further result in increase in commodities of daily usage. We, the admirers of Modiji, want that some thing to be done immediately to reduce the sufferings of the common man. Can the PM and FM put their minds and do something to reduce the sufferings of the common man? Two years have gone. more
The VIP culture shall never be abolished in India,as our Corrupt Netas are always full of themselves and wishes to show their authority and power over every govt institution etc. They always demand slutations/privileges amenities only for themselves and the common public may just go to hell. more
Dear Mr Venkatraman, I think, you have read the ground realities well. We were most happy when Modi Ji took over as PM. We had hopes that this government will take corrective measures to make the life of common citizens more comfortable by attending to the following crucial issues: 1) Control cost of living in India, because we have lots of educated unemployed, who are being    supported by single earning member or retired head of the family. 2) Offer travel facilities (Rail & Air) at affordable costs by reducing taxes and under controlled    conditions. 3) Encourage merit and competence, so that our education system generates competent Doctors,    Engineers, Technocrates and other professionals. 4) Encourage honesty and integrity among Indian business community, so that they standup and    contribute towards rebuilding a new India. But, citizens are left to be exploited by big business    houses who are bent upon launching all kinds of Apps, force the customers and then steal their      private details and then use the same as marketing tools.  What we got: 1) Attempt to tax retirement savings (PF/PPF), invention of new taxes  and backdoor withdrawal of    Government support to fixed income group.  2) Permitting so many "News channels" without checking their integrities / credentials. They keep    airing lots of negative news, demoralising citizens and painting a glooming picture. 3) In developed countries, citizens are provided quality health care, unemployment allowance, safely   & security against the taxes collected by the Government. But, in India, taxes are just collected   without assuring any quality service. In fact, everyone in business collects service tax, vat etc in    the name of Government, but the money collected may never be reaching to Government.    Therefore, taxes imposed especially on restaurants has become a tool of exploitation by the    businessmen. 4) In a country like India, where there is a drought of honest businessmen, executive, Govt officials   inspectors and public bodies like DDA, AUDA, JDA etc, it would be best not to give them excessive   powers which could lead to corruption and exploitation of masses.     Hope you understand these realities.    Kind Regards,    Narain Dutt   Ahmedabad From: N.S.
