Modi Government 18 Months

I would rate 18 months of Modi Govt as 3 on a scale of 5. I feel the big positives are the PMs effort, long term policy changes, getting us out of UPA rut, the local circles platform for common citizen to express, the reduction in bureaucratic corruption in Central Government.

I feel the big negatives are: Most Ministers and 80% of the bureaucrats are not delivering and dont have urgency. PM wants to work with private sector but his babus operate like scared cats. The approach is still mera kya, mujhe kya largely. Other than 5-6 ministers, everyone is mediocre. MPs dont know how to spend their MPLAD fund. Then there are elements like Adityanath, Sakshi Maharaj, that lady (dont know name), who all keep making communal comments. As far as party goes, the approach is my way of high way. PM himself keeps indulging in potshots at other parties. He didnt get out to resolve the washout of parliament and instead of talking about Swaraj and Raje he was busy tweeting from central asia about what he did.

As I said, the good thing as compared to UPA is that I can express, we can converse because we are connected and I hope my words will reach some of the officials. As many members have expressed, this local circle must be the parliament and not Government so therefore when PM and his govt dont deliver, we express and convey it on their face. If they do, we give them a thumbs up too.

With only national interest in mind!

For those of us in National Capital (Delhi), we have witnessed vengeful PM and his Cabinet Ministers targeting CM Arvind Kejriwal not allowing proper functioning. 2 years back BJP had instigated Sanitation workers to go on strike for wages payment. At that time Kejriwal had to hold it back as there were many Ghost workers existing only on papers and Kejriwal's intent was to uproot the evil. However NDA effectively used its Paid Media to deride CM of Delhi to the extent that he is made out to be a Joker. However that did not stop AAP Ministers efforts in ushering in good governance. If you compare the promises made by PM and delivery, Delhi CM would fare much better in implementation and execution. However knowing that this hardworking Ministers need to be halted, NDA used former EC Jyoti to debar 22 AAP MLA's in Office of Profit which subsequently the High Court cleared. Now Home Ministry had denotified and held as illegal 9 MLA's postings as unconstitutional and implementation without permission (as if they are willing to give permission if asked). Doesn't Home Ministry have more important task than stalling work of ministers of opposition? All over our country Rapes, Murders and worse evils are on the rise...and I am not counting the number of Army personnel being lost daily in sniper fire, hostile attacks which has been a hallmark of NDA Government where maximum casualty of our soldiers has taken place in 4 years of NDA rule. Household Budgets have long gone out of the window with prices still on higher side. The experiment of Dynamic pricing of Petrol has bombed and we see its cascading effect on prices of all commodities. Jewellers on the run, Manufacturers ruing the GST, Traders also...no new avenues of Employment. Crime on the rise...is this what we expected in the promise of: "Achchey Din"? more
Everybody is entitled to their own opinions. I have stated from my experience while you may be Researching it from a different angle and are more favorably inclined to the charisma of PM. That is why there is a new term in dictionary called: Blind Bhakt. more
Non Cooperation by Parliamentarians and State Managements stood as absolute obstacles of every NDA campaign of public Welfare . more

to all those who are point finger at modi without a´having any knowledge of PM responsibility . firstly modi's expenditure in the 1st year on foreign trips is almost the same as manmohan singh's 1st year . the difference is modi stayed 2-3 days at country and finished the business and when to the next country on the contrary manmohan spent 8-10 days in 1 country . Also it is most important responsibility of the PM to visit countries and maintain relation and try to bring investment and represent the country on a gobal stage . if everything the prime minister has to Do then y do u have state government for . more
Modi has been helped by prevailing low oil prices and no major terror attacks, but his ministers have failed to deliver anything notable in the last 18 months. It is like BCCI - leadership changes but no major improvement seen in the game of cricket or pitches. more
