Monkeypox - Should India be proactive?

Monkeypox is likely aerosol airborne. Attached Study indicates monkeypox is aerosol stable for up to 90 HOURS and remain infective during that time.

This circle must brainstorm what should India do to prevent a spread of monkeypox in the country.

The young born after 1990 are not vaccinated and we dont want this spreading in India.

Overnight its in 7 countries now in Europe USA and Canada and something just doesn't seem right. I know some will brand me alarmist. So be it. more

Most of Studies on COVID 19 and its different variants as also on its various mutations since 2020 made by different international bodies had been proved to be wrong. Predictions made by these bodies including WHO were found to be aimless and directionless and acted as fear mongering and chows. It is high time now that we refrain from discussing on the issue any more. After every pendemic such things happen and disappear at its own in due course. more
Govt should handle it proactively more
Nikita Goyal, good point. There is nothing alarming about bringing this out for meaningful discussion. Since CV-19 pandemic started in the late 2019, I have been masking whenever inside and outside. Since I started the practice, luckily I have not had CV-19, flu, cough, cold, allergy symptoms, etc. etc. I will continue that practice. I learnt masking efficacy when we vacationed in Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam in 2019. We were astonished/surprised that all people that drove and rode two-wheelers wore masks. I started masking since then. Wear mask, keep distance, avoid big crowds, and be safe. Very best wished to all. more
Monkeypox. For hundreds of years monkeys live in forests as well with inhabitants and during these years not a single case deducted all these years. After pandemic many new products of diseases are launched. Tomato fever with similar symptoms are manufactured in this country. Since breakout of pandemic, it appears, all pharma mafias have been creating fear in mind if public, so that Doctors and pharma companies could spin money from poor public. Even during 2020-21 maximum public didn't bother to abide protocol. But, forcefully government shut every movement of public. Having experienced during last two years, people lost all their faith. Secondly, with the blessings of pandemic, lakes lost their job, daily wage, cost escalation uncertainty etc. as such, all new variety decreases lost its charm of freshness. more
