Morbi Bridge - Corruption and Collusion

People were charged Rs 50 each to avail the services of the Morbi bridge. The bridge did not receive a municipal clearance and was supposed to bear load of 20-25 people but 400 were on it when it broke.

It would be interesting to find out how much money the civic body in Morbi got from the operators as part of the contract officially and why they turned a blind eye when 400 people were permitted.

Typical modus operandi is gratify officials so they dont raise objections.

And this is not just Gujarat this is pan India model.

I don’t understand how public can be stopped from coming on a public road unless the movement of people and vehicles are regulated if it’s opened for traffic. If it’s not, the organisation that is holding the bridge, is responsible and the concerned officials can easily be identified. more
Gujarat MODEL sunk in Morbi River more
Strict action against the offenders without any delay and Ina transparent manner is the requirement of the day.No politics, delay and interference be acceptable.Punishment should be exemplary and swift more
The Company , concerned officers of Govt. & Peoples are also responsible . in Vdo they are shaking the bridge to show their muscle power. The Hindians are most indisciplined peoples in the world. No social sense , no Rules binding. Go to any Gujrat city & see traffic signal offenders. Then only understand how this incident happened. more
Only Aam Aadmi Party is responsible for this incident.   Aam Aadmi prepared planned and left their goons on the bridge.  How mean can be Delhi CM. The people of Gujarat not liked him, so planned their cold-blooded murder. On Monday, 31 October, 2022 at 03:57:30 pm IST, Dinesh Shah wrote: more
