Mosquito menace
Mosquito causes the most dreaded diseases. Yet, steps taken to destroy mosquitoes by Mumbai Mun. Corprn is half hearted, if not less. Swarm of this insect invade housing colonies, flats and hutments at dusk, exposing the people to deadly and incurable diseases.
Recently, there was News report that ineffective and spurious chemicals were bought by BMC for fumigation. Has the Authorities taken the culprit to task? Have these chemicals been destroyed and NOT allowed to be used? Maybe, because they are still being used, the fumigation being carried out is ineffective, resulting in additional cost and risk to the health of the people. Moreover, such spurious chemical fumigation is a serious health hazard.
The Health Dept and Sanitation Dept should ensure that mosquito breeding is totally prevented and those not heeding to instructions should be penalised.
Will the BJP Govt. look into this and ensure mosquito menace? more

my company offers to eradicate mosquito colonies within a week, do away with the stink from drains with the help of nano products, but there are no takers from any municipality, they tend to rely more on conventional wisdom of start-stop spraying of chemicals with no effect. when will the bureaucrats learn? i challenge anyone to my claim of mosquito free area in four weeks flat. any takers? i cannot give fat bribes now or afterwards. more

The health department is not worried to eradicate mosquitos by use of TIFA. Only God can help. Swechh Bharat is only to pay the cess. more
