Appears due to immune abnormality, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, allergies, A variety of reasons are there . Basically vitamin B deficiency mainly Riboflavin [B2] and folic acid , B12. This could be due to dietary insufficiency , or inadequate absorption from the guts [intestines]. If it is due to deficiency , take Vitamin supplementation . If due to inadequate absorption or lack of endogenous synthesis the vitamin therapy will eb a waste . Then you have to go to the root cause by changing the diet styles and diet ingredients to improve the vitamin absorption and synthesis in the bod [Intestines]. It is quite a difficult task for you to convince a 13 year old boy. This is the age they resent taking diet and are attracted to all sort of Junk FSS [Fat Sugar Salted ]foods. Slowly start giving Curd the first feed in the morning as Dr. Korada suggested . Mouth ulcers are viral infection. Folic acid supplement works wonderfully to replace the lost cells in the mouth. Drinking lot of water will reduce viral load. However, ghee, homemade butter can ease the pain to certain extent. more
Please do not use any Toothpaste for brushing - instead, use mango leaves, neem leaves, neem sticks, etc.; Disturbance in food tract (especially large intestine) is the main trigger for mouth ulcers (at this age); eat leafy vegetables 2 or 3 days in a week (Palak, Methi, Mooly, Drum-stick leaves, Tandalia, etc. as may be available); Do not consume Curd, instead take 1 or 2 glass buttermilk, if necessary; Eat citrus fruits ONLY (orange, grapes, mosambi). preferably for break-fast, eat salad with lunch & dinner (eat this first 80 to 100 grams and then rice/rotti + subji). When ulcer is present, just before going to bed at night eat one table spoon of black til fully chewed slowly (if possible add butter with it) and do not wash the mouth after that.
