Move with your eyes open

Yesterday at about 3.30pm near Shiv mandir adjacent to Rajendra Park, while coming from Shanker Road towards water tank, one youth age 22-24, 5'8'' height while talking on cell phone entangled my leg and started shouting that i have injured his leg. I scolded him and told him to go away but he bent down and beholded my legs and started pushing my legs with his both hands and said sorry. I was dis-balanced and suddenly another boy face covered with helmet came on TVS Blue bike and came near me. The boy holding my legs jumped on bike and rode away, i realised in 1 sec that they have snached my wallet from pocket.
I ran for till 10-20 mts but they were on bike and turned towards Shanker Road and disappeared.
I turned back and found Constable Anil Kumar and narrated the same. He noted on paper and told me to go to Police station for complaint.
In Police station they took 90 minuted to note down my complaint and didnt give me the FIR but the acknowledgement of my complaint that too after meeting Inspector Meena.
Constable Anil Kumar didnt tried to go behind the bikers and in PS it was mess.
I wonder what happens in rural India.
I was not alone there were two more snatching complaints in PS, do they care! I lost my cards/ DL/ Cash/ Wallet and other documents....
Please be careful more

In our country , now a days , only u can save urself , and if u could not than its ur loss , our police is insensitive to common man problems , they become active when there is a "danda" or when they have self interest "money". much reform is needed in our police system , to make them more accountable and sensitive . An advise to all members. Please keep on writing about your experience. May be one day, the top police brass is awakened to the plight of common man and take steps to improve the behaviour of police personnel. That day may come one day in our lifetime, we wish more
This chalta hai attitude is just getting us no where. Is Mr Rajnath Singh listening? I suggest you put this incident on Raj nath Singh's and his assistant's twitter handle. If you cannot, let me know and I shall do it on your behalf. more
No fear of law, moreover the police looks to be very agile and active, when there is a case of expecting booty in the shape of bribe from the complainant or otherwise. Training imparted to the police is not conducive to the people's comfort. The CP is requested to pay some heed to the complaints of the people and improve the working of Police. Old fashioned police is not needed in modern times, drastic steps as a deterrent to the fellow policemen is the need of the hour, in determining the discipline amongst the force. more
