MPs & MLAs are now objects of ridicule and contempt and are hated

In a state assembly, one MLA hit another MLA with the mike. So many other similar ugly incidents are happening in many state assemblies.

The behavior of MPs in parliament in the last eleven days by shouting and disrupting the proceedings make common man think that their behavior is not much different from the street urchins and even goondas.

These MPs and MLAs are the worst role models for the youth of the country and they have made many people suspect as to whether democracy is the best form of governance for India at all.

It appears that if the present trend continue, these thick skinned politicians who have no reputation to lose and who have no concern for larger interest of democracy will drive the country to virtual collapse conditions.

The challenge for the people now is how to get rid of these present day MPs and MLAs, who have become the objects of ridicule and contempt and are now hated by the country men.

Why there is No Rules, No System, No Disciplinary Action is set for containing such acts of NONSENSE ? Why we are allowing such people to lead the nation ? more
This is slept-over issues since decades being diluted due to the different Communities and Selfish Politicians. more
As a matter of fact, the existence of such organisations is suspect. We have Lok Sabha & Rajya sabha at the centre. We have MLA's at the state. There are chosen ministers from these institutions. What is the use of Rajya Sabha when people do not even attend the sessions. We need to scrap the Rajya Sabha. The system of administration in India is full of loop holes. No one gets the blame and people go scot free in crimes. We have a Mayor and corporate bodies yet the towns are in a mess. Garbage, roads and infrastructure are in a mess. The Police is corrupt to the core. The law is complex and no one fears the law. Where are we heading?? There has to be a total overhaul of our governance and administrative set up. Some one has to show the way. Someone???? more
MPs have been terrible last 6 months. more
The only way apart from disciplinary actions of the House, such MLAs, MPs should be fined and not paid for such days, banned as is done in cricket and certain games/sports. more
Most important, why for 5 years looting, they should be given pensions. more
Public and younger generation should Rise like Sunami and identify them to pay them in the same coins. It is high time for a forcible replacement of these Thugs. Supreme court verdict also flouted in public. VNS. more
