MR. MODI’S REFERENCE TO TAMIL SAYING IN U N SPEECH

Prime Minister Modi did great honour to Tamil traditions and culture by quoting the Tamil scholar Poonkundranar who said several centuries back about the universal outlook of Tamil philosophy. Has any politician in Tamil Nadu complimented and thanked Mr. Modi for this reference.

Compare those great Tamil philosophers to the present day politicians belonging Dravidian parties and Tamil chauvinists , who create language war in the name of protecting Tamil language. Obviously, for these politicians and chauvinists, Tamil language is a tool to further their political interests .

In the process, they are doing great damage to the universal outlook of Tamil culture and traditions.

Poonkunranar gave the essence and the need for the oneness of the globe .Contrarily the present day politics is founded on hatred and division among people and gaining a political mileage in TN . Well informed people are aware that we are drifting away from the main stream . Tamil Nationalism is openly propagated and the undeserving leaders are glorified . Poison is sowed in the minds of youth and the reap is not going to be different . The media in the hands of vested interest is bellowing its ill will . Unless all these are controlled , it is going to be detrimental to our existence itself . more
I don't know what to call the status of people in TN in general. People with awareness are indifferent. DMK and fringe politicians are still whipping up emotions among innocent groups - dividing and creating vote banks. Modi is a rare politician - good, bold, and charismatic at the same time. My hopes and paryers for him to succeed. more
We are all acting like puppets for the tune played by the Politicians. more
Congratulations to Shri Venkataraman. You have hit the nail on its head. Dravidian political parties are interested in fooling the people and enriching themselves. Unless the people of Tamilnadu wake up enmasse and understand the machination of the state political parties they will suffer perpetually despite having some saner voices like Shri NSV. more
Congrats Mr Venkatraman, atleast a tamil person noted the event!!! Great thanks to u! I hv lived (rather enjoyed living in chennai for several years), hv studied in and out of Tamil Nadu thru my social events helping the less fortunate in the society. As long as the system of Buying the Votes in place, tamil Nadu will not prosper. wicked politicians using the voters giving 500 to 1000, poor voters do not understand the gimmick in this. Politicians family is well equipped with several languages, including HINDI, when the common man will understand the real intentions of these politicians!!!! more
