Mr Virmani, Consumer Forum has advised me to send a legal notice to Micromax for repeated problem with Power button (7 times already since Jan 2014) on my Smartphone A240 Doodle2. My question to you is 1) the template sent by you can be used? 2) should it be on legal paper and if yes what should be the value of stamps on it? more

I am the President Emeritus of the Voluntary Association of Gurgaon. The President is Mr Ram Avtar Yadav. The Association is a member of the Apex body of Consumer Organisations and till recently awaiting the renewal of its registration with TRAI. Whenever anyone is dissatisfied with a service provider or with a merchant, the consumer only thinks of one remedial measure-The Consumer Court. The government of India, has provided many avenues and we as consumers, should learn about these and spread the knowledge to strengthen our hands. Join the Association and open a chapter in your area. You can always contact the association at grahaksahayakgurgaon@gmail.com. A legal notice can be issued by the consumer to the provider or merchant and no stamp is necessary. There is no specific format. Col H N Handa more
