MRP of medicines 5 prices for same meds
Though the attached is a Chandigarh story I am sure the issue is same in most cities.

Indian Medical Association should issue a Code of Conduct to all medical practitioners that they should prescribe only generic medicines, and where required their combinations. more

As long as the doctors continue to write names of medicines instead of writing the compositions thereof in their prescriptions, this trend is supposed to continue. The doctors are heavily bribed by the companies for writing their brand names and the money is recovered from the consumers. All over mismanagement and inability of the government to ensure strict compliance of the rules and regulations by the manufacturers having nexus with the people in the government makes all the differences. more
