I read last night that fertiliser companies have been allowed to print revised mrp stickers after gst and paste on the bags.

Will the same be applicable to other products and industries? more

Even before GST, there is law...manufacturer/trader can revise the MRP subject to it has been reduced, Ex: Old MRP is 100 and New MRP is 98, both the stickers should be visible, Note: there is no law for mentioning higher MRP in any condition. more

Sudesh from legal perspective yes government can pass laws which have to be implemented as it has gone through a process. t is still not clear although there are assumptions being made about the impact of GST on products. May I know the source of your information/statement. more

If the govt. wants the neww taxes they have to allow new MRP to be printed on all commodities. more

If the MRP is Reduced then you are allowed to mention as MRP slashed or Reduced and then mention the Revised MRP. May be like this (if MRP reduced from Rs.100/- to Rs.90/-) : MRP slashed to Rs.90/-
In in case of increase you are not allowed to on your own, you need to go through the legal process. more

Even without Govt's instructions our people are capable of printing any MRP at any time. We need not educate them at all. They know that by paying some ccoverage they can come out without any problem more
