MSEB(Electricity) meter readings in Pune
I live in Pune, PCMC area. Here, the MSEB(Electricity) meter readings are being taken on haphazard intervals. Sometimes, the bill is extremely low, and rest of the times the bill is exceptionally high so that it goes beyond the regular usage slab and the billing rates also change. I request the concerned authorities to look into it and take the appropriate measures.

Ruchi Singhal ji, please prepare a data sheet indicating the period, electric units consumed and Bill amount for that period for each electricity bill received by you. From this data you can work out daily average units consumed. Does the average daily consumption varies drastically? If so, fix an appointment with Executive Engineer ( Distribution ), MSEB over phone and confront him with this discrepancy in billing. If he is not helpful, go to Superintending Engineer. Do you have Bijli Aadalat there to resolve grievance? If yes, you may seek justice there. more

All MSEB (MSEDCL) consumers are requested to keep a consistent tab on their meter readings and the billing cycle. It is a known fact tjat MSEB bills are very exorbitant and are fooling their consumers by their readings.... more

At the first instance, it is proper for you to visit the Mahadevan website and make a formal complaint disclosing your consumer number and if response you may file a complaint to their own Consumer Grievance Forum details of which also will be available in their website itself. more
