Multiplexes getting booked for profiteering

Seems like our complaints are leading to good actions. apparently NY Cinemas, PVR Cinemas and the Prasads Multiplex chains are all being investigated for profiteering for not passing gst benefits to consumers.

Like suggested by profiteering authority or other members, every one should upload their 2017, 2018 ticket receipts from their book my show or pvr account if possible.

I think 2-3 of them get booked, rest will all follow rules. more

Good effort on our our to enrich the Government with may be lower prices for us in future. more
Guptaji, what about reducing the govt.expenses n periodical DA hike for govt.employees?
The fix tenure salary revision by pay commission?

Are the salaries n DA gets revised for people working in private sectors, or small companies. Govt fixed daily rated farm or other labours but what about the middle class citizen n if such regulation announced are the employers following it?

The salary class people are the maximum sufferers.
Isn't it? more
There was hue and cry about cost of food products but nothing seems to have happened. Online ticket booking convenience charges are also very high, but no one is paying any attention to it. Where do we go to complain on such issues ?? more
What our friends from GST enforcement are doing ??? Surprise checking is essential. more
Profiteering by Multiplexes on ticket price is a lesser evil . The biggest chunk comes to them by selling Foods ,whether prepared or packed, including packed Mineral water for which they get 4 times more hiked price than it is normally available elsewhere. While the mal-practice of multiple pricing on the same product was objected by the Controller of Legal Metrology in Mumbai , the money rich and influential multiplex owners' lobby was successful in getting a stay order from the High Court. Coming to food items, can you imagine a cup of coffee or tea is charged at Rs.100/150 ? A packet of Pop corn available in market for Rs.10/20 is charged Rs.80/200 (Calling it a Bucket pack) . A Samosa or a pack of Wafers is charged Rs.50/60. And during Intermission, you have to stand in a long Q to obtain anything. One can say that a family of four has to minimum spend up to Rs.1000 just on eatables/beverages if they wish to order while watching a movie. This avoidable thing is converted into helplessness of moviegoers as NO OUTSIDE OR HOME MADE FOOD/EATABLE is allowed inside the cinema hall in the name of "Security Check". When a strong public demand (Thru' offices of strong political force of Maharashtra Shiv Sena) was made the Multiplex owners had given ultimatum to the Government that they will have to close down as their main earning is thru' sell of these food items only . If moviegoers are allowed to bring food inside the hall this lucrative business will go down .And here since this issue was to be decided by the Home department of the State of Maharashtra, the State buckled down and allowed to the Cinema owners to continue to frisk and disallow the eatable from outside in the name of security. Point is , Is your own home made food is a security threat ? Even in our Airports and Planes, food can be carried for consumption by a passenger after the security check, how it will pose a security threat to cinema halls ? Well, anything is possible if the Government does not want to control the profiteering by Multiplexes. more
