MUMBAI CENTRAL LOCAL TRAIN
Dear All,
This is Ravi from Thane and daily commuter from Thane to Dadar & Return. we can easily travel from Thane to Dadar in the morning being so many train start from Thane in the morning . But it is very painful the evening travelling from DADAR to thane . There is heavy rush at DADAR station to catch train , we can not assure that we can catch the coming train . We absolutely crush inside the train and will have to travel standing till Thane. There are less train start from DADAR to THANE and we do not dare to catch beyond THANE destiantion train ie Kalyan or any other destination because of heavy rush at thane station to catch the beyond Thane station train and we have to fight daily for getting down at thane station if we catch the train of which last station is beyond thane . I am First Class pass holder and the situation is same for second class or First Class holder . Make compulsory travelling to those before planning of smooth local train travelling for one month by local train from Thane or Kalyan to DADAR or CST .They will understand practical difficulties of daily local train commuters.
We do not tire by work but by travelling through local train.
There are so many daily commuters take early retirement before 5 years because of daily horrible travelling by local train for work .
Hope , local authority will look into the matter

Railway Authority has designed rly time table to facilitate commuters beyond Thane and Thane commuters which has tremendous population growth due to Ghodbunder road are ignored.. Rly. need to introduce more Thane local from Parel Terminus now... to facilitate Thane Residents.. more

There is more problem beyond thane , you are lucky to staying in thane and there is option of thane local. more

I also agree that train travelling has become a nightmare for me too, as I am a office goer, residing at Mira Road, travelling daily to churchgate . As it is very difficult to board any train from mira road during the peak hours, most of the ladies like me board the luggage ladies compartment which is also full of male students, make it even more difficult for us to stand. My request is to give the male student a separate student compartment, as given to the handicapped. Also to increase Bhayander & Virar trains upto churchgate. more

A Train-Flyover (like Bandra) is necessary between Track-1 & 2 at Poinsar , between Kandivali & Borivali. Harbour line extension to Borivali will enhance this need. more
