2. The Belgaum municipal corporation has fully co-operated in the effort of garbage collection without fail daily
3. Solid Waste Management of Kolkata is worth appreciation. Dhalaos are using equipment supplied by TPS (A Delhi company) and garbage is compacted so 1 truck carries garbage of 4 trucks. Less transportation cost, Less pollution
4. Waste management works doing well in my town Mannargudi area Thiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu state.
5. Thankful and appreciate the garbage collected daily all over in Nashik by the municipal vehicles in their due time.
6. In Palawkkam area in Chennai, garbage is collected regularly. We have been given Bins in each house
7. Kalamassery Municipality is trying to do their best about waste management. Moreover it is the Kudumba Sree movement that does commendable job to collect segregated waste from our flats
8. Lucknow Nagar Nigam has a toll-free number for lodging of complaints relating to all types of issues faced by citizen. On lodging of a complaint, an acknowledgement is received with a number, and name of the department/office to which the complaint has been forwarded. The department/office gets back to the complainant within 30 minutes. To find out details. Confirmation of resolution of the complaint is sought for by the centralised office at regular intervals till disposal
9. Municipality of Kalyani has issued separate bags to every residence for garbage and waste
10. At sector 23 Gurgaon it's a daily collection of garbage in the morning from home

12. Pune Municipal Corp (PMC) has implemented better practices for segregation of wet and dry garbage. PMC has distributed separate dustbins with different colour and clear mention of dry/wet garbage to almost all residential societies/complexes/colonies along with the notice to chairman to implement the same. In our residential complex if anyone who does not follow the process, the garbage from his dustbin is not picked up by our society servant. Within few days everyone started following the dry/wet garbage separation practice and now at the source only it is getting separated

Swach Bharat is Good. But cleaning the streets is not sufficient. The challenge is to keep clean and maintain cleanliness. Now how much effort would be reduced if we do not throw the trash at the first place as we see in the picture. How can we all refrain from dumping Garbage unscrupulously, carelessly. Should we not first organise the process of disposing the Garbage in systematic manner starting from the household. Identify means to dispose of Wet waste and Dry waste separately. Disposal of recyclable items like PET Bottles etc., to be taken care of properly. Once taking photoshoots with broomsticks is not just the solution. Because PREVENTION is always better than CURE.So all of us have to work on taking PREVENTIVE Action rather than CORRECTIVE Action only. more
In chennai alsoThe corporation has entrused the job to the private Agency and their performance is not up to the mark. they are rather hindrance in traffic more than cleaning. more
