Must Read - all computers to be monitored by NHA
This is very concerning. Should one get off the internet if they dont want their computer monitored. Why was there no consultation on this??

The agencies are the Intelligence Bureau, Narcotics Control Bureau, Enforcement Directorate, Central Board of Direct Taxes, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Central Bureau of Investigation; National Investigation Agency, Cabinet Secretariat (R&AW), Directorate of Signal Intelligence (For service areas of Jammu & Kashmir, North-East and Assam only) and Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
According to the order, the subscriber or service provider or any person in charge of the computer resource will be bound to extend all facilities and technical assistance to the agencies and failing to do will invite seven-year imprisonment and fine.
The MHA gave the authorisation under 69 (1) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 which says that the Central government can direct any agency after it is satisfied that it is necessary or expedient to do so in the “interest of the sovereignty or integrity of India, defence of India, security of the state, friendly relations with foreign states or public order or for preventing incitement to the commission of any cognizable offence relating to above or for investigation of any offence. more

यह नाया तो नहीं है 2009 मे भी था और हम समझते है यदि हम किसी देश विरोधी कृत्य मे नहीं है तो हमे इसका स्वागत करना चाहिए - देश मे बढ़ते आतंक और नक्सल आंदोलन जिसे पूरा समर्थन हमारे शहरी नक्सल दे रहे है को देखते हुये देश के लिए यह जरूरी है । more

More or less such things are taking place all over the world. Until we engage ourselves in any wrong practices and engage in unlawful activities, I don't find any reasons to worry. Moreover, this will be helpful for the government to overlook the activities of the anti-socials & anti-nationals, tax evaders, black money generators, money laundering and other unlawful activities harmful to our national interests. more

I don't find, any wrong in this, and any reason why the OPPOSITION Political Parties are making a Hue And Cry. when any body is sure that HE IS SINCERE and Righteous , Why should he FEAR of any surveilence, or any Investigation. Such a regulatory provision relating to monitoring of the computer devises of the individual as and when required in larger interest of the system has been in practice since 2009 in reality and is the need of the hour seeing incidences of criminal acts being executed using computer based information system successfully. the recent change brought about by the concerned ministry is to help things transpire well as per the anticipation of the govt to get the purpose fulfilled better only, we wish the authorities would do everything possible within the framework of laws to help implement the order properly in time. more
