Must Read Report on Pollution

Air pollution is likely to reduce the life expectancy of about 40% of Indians by more than nine years, according to a report released by a U.S. research group EPIC. More than 480 million people living in the vast swathes of central, eastern and northern India, including New Delhi, endure significantly high pollution levels and the problem has now expanded from just north Indian states to Maharashtra MP etc.

Attached is the report. We must come together to get the Govt to act NOW so this October November is better more

This is all due to Over Population and vast Industrialization in last 100+ years. We have played with Nature to its maximum during this period. more
Air Pollution is rising every year and the organisation like "Pollution Control" are silent spectators. I have never come across any action taken by the "Pollution Control Board". Is it an ornamental body. more

Let us look at the huge monds of waste in Metro cities as huge untapped source of clean energy. We only need to think in terms of using the waste and converting it to energy by available technologis in India like Bio CNG from Kitchen or vegetable waste and energy in form of fluel gases like CO and C2H2 etc from pyrolysis of plastic and rubber materilas. Only thing that we need to remind ourselves is that all our Big Oil Exploration cos. need to change their search for energy sources and start looking at waste monds as source of crude energy. Otherwise we are briingig crude from oil wells from Sea and land. Now Wsate Dumps of 18 story building heights in Mumbai must be taken possession by Indian Oil Cos. and start exploiting this waste mountains by processingnthrough LFG tecgnologies and Bio gas Techniques to convert to CBG. more
Great. These steps need to be taken by the Govts. But unfortunately, we r able to elect only such Govts. who do not want to govern but stay in govt. The future of the whole world seems to be gloomy, unless we people change for good. more
