My grandmother is sick nowadays.....Due to lot of cough she feels irritated and avoids food...Her intake has become nill..She is surviving on 2_3 spoons of liquids...She is unable to eat since a month.... Please help me out ... more

Dear Sir, To first get rid of her cough, please give her first thing in the morning warm water with 2 spoons of honey & lemon juice for about 10 days. Follow up with similar doses in the afternoon and evening. Apply VICKS around her throat & chest regularly. Also, twice a day, please mix in to boiling hot water two spoons of eucalyptus oil and let her intake the vapours thru' her nose. Finally give her Vit_C tablets (LIMCEE) to chew twice a day. As she slowly recovers, try to give her a cup of hot milk in the night with half spoon of ghee & haladi(turmeric) power mixed. This should help her a lot. Most important do pray to Lord Shiva for her health. more

Recently, my neighbour said she helped her 85 years old mother( she lives in Poland) recover from terrible cold by increasing intake of good quality Vitamin C. She made her mother take 10,000 mg daily, for a week. Generally doctors will say VitC, more than 1000mg will cause diarrhea, but that is absolutely not true. I consume 6000 to 8000 mg of VitC my self everyday for past 1 year. I myself had allergy like symptoms with blocked nose, sneezing 365 days a year. Doctor in Toronto, asked me to stop wheat and dairy altogether, along with high dose of Vit C. Till date I have no complains. I also agree if liver and kidney don't work well it causes lot of problems as these 2 are detoxifying organs. Ayurveda has very good medicine for detoxifying. more

Hi.Dates are the best detox food for lungs.Let her have 3 soaked dates as the first thing in the morning. Then immediately ask her to drink a glass of warm water.Soak the dates for half an hr before eating.They are very good for all kinds of lung problems. more
