Name Change Hiccups
Due to the wrong guidance of one of my elders, I had changed my name from Tharakanadh to TulasiKrishna at the time of appearing my SSLC / Matric / 10th Public Exam and my father name remained the same in my records. There was no government gazette issued in this regard. I was unaware of the fact at that time. My father is unaware of this name change fact due to some personal family concerns. My father is a retired government Zilla Parishad High School Head Master. I doubt my father had entered my name / his son's name as Tharakanadh only in his service records. But now all my certificates are in the name of TulasiKrishna and my father's name the same as was mentioned in my SSLC register. Now, please guide me how can I come out of this legal tussle of name change if I want to proceed to prove that Tharakanadh and TulasiKrishna are one and the same in the court of law. more

How the name change was effected? Had you applied to the govt. by paying fees for the name change publication in Govt. Gazette and keep its 6 copies original with you. Then advertise in any 2 local and english news papers about the change. You attach the gazette publication to all the departments concerned where to effect the name change. If necessary get an affidavit from notory to set right things correctly. Your father can help you in this if not move directly. Gazette publication is MOST IMPORTANT for your future. more
