Narendra Modi to take call on Delhi's CM candidate; Meenakshi Lekhi, Kiran Bedi, Vijay Goel among the CM hopefuls

Instead of collective decision, all the members of BJP including ministers are leaving the final call by Mr Modi. It is not a good practice. Mr Modi may have more weightage in team of collective leadership. The impression of one man party should not be build. Even railway minister's statement that regarding proposed increase of passengers fair, Mr Modi will take the final call. Why not he (railway minister) leave it on cabinet decision? more

Dear Arunji - I am in complete agreement with you on the issue raise by you. In business, seniors groom juniors but i do not see it happening in case of politics except for family members. May be its the threat of "Sishya" overtaking the "Guru" that prevents "mentoring". I do not know the real issue, but from a common man's perspective, politics is personality driven with little space for ideology based ones. I am not sure if this trend is good or bad but it creates a fertile ground for creation of despots. Ministers should be empowered and accountable the same way as bureaucrats are expected to be. more
Dear Amit Goenka ji- pl do not bring RSS in this discussion. Let RSS do any home work and pass their opinion to anyone. BJP and RSS are two institutes, we should not mix them up. Here the question is- are ministers of Mr Modi govt making him a High command or they do not have self strenght to put up their thoughts in Cabinet. Govt is to run by Cabinet decisions not by in agreement of Mr Modi. Such statements are called 'Chamchagiri'. I feel Most of the Ministers in Govt need a class "How and what to make public statements" more
Thank for the compliment. Let the opportunity arise. more
Swami Vas: PULSE OF INDIA: MOTTO: EK BHARAT, SHRESHT BHARAT, AKHAND BHARAT AND SAMPOORNA SAMAJ: Facts could not be truer than what you have outlined in your comment Arun48552. You are right, the young congress workers should look elsewhere to burn their calories and serve the nation. It is time for them to come out of their party clutches and accelerate with the rapid speed at which some of the developmental projects of the present government are destined to proceed in the days, months and years ahead. The entire nation is awaiting to be mesmerized by the Modi magic! By the way, like the congress workers Arun, you too could be part of the decision-making process of the present government in Delhi? A golden opportunity awaits people like you wherever you are based! The final decision should be of cabinet , the cabinet should be convinced about the decision in case of administrative / govt. decisions but in case of party it should be a collective decision otherwise another 10 Janpath would be created as it is there in Congress. more
