National Security and Terrorism...
Ministry of Defense & Home Affairs:
a. Need major equipment upgrades across all the three forces, i.e. Air/Navy/Army.
b. The jawans guarding our borders need automatic weapons, night goggles, state-of-the-art body armoured suits to fight the enemy from within and across the border.
c. We need to build at least 2-3 major carriers to guard our oceans.
d. We need at least 8-10 nuclear submarines to extend Indias reach in the Asian region, Strategic Depth for Blue Water Strategy.
e. We need state of the art fighter training aircrafts to train our pilots with specialized schools for air-to-air combat operations. we also need UAVs to execute surgical strikes to dismantle terror infrastructure within and in our neighborhood.
f. All of the above can be encompassed in a PPP model to invite and execute defense related projects within a specified budget and timeline.
g. We should tackle the Kashmir issues in earnest with Pakistan by first strengthening our home, i.e. remove article 370.
h. Use no negotiations until stoppage of all cross border terrorism and dismantling of terror building infrastructure in Pakistan. If needed deploy UAVs for surgical strikes against terror infrastructure.
i. Use no negotiations till killing is stopped by maoists in states/areas under the influence of naxalite forces. Again deploy ground and air operations to wipe terror infrastructure to break their resolve, if needed. Also, use carrot and stick approach to address genuine employment and economic concerns of the region.
j. Go after the terrorists/criminals who have taken refuge in Pakistan, use alliances with USA, Japan and Israel to execute them and establish a clear policy that we will not forgive or forget the terrorists/criminals.
k. Improve the human and electronic intelligence collection by investments and upgrading the equipments
l. Incentivize PPP with major industrial leaders for indigenous building and upgradation of India’s defense requirements/capability.
Ministry of External Affairs:
a. Need to fine tune our national policy with foreign partners to achieve the maximum benefit to the nation.
b. Define clear terms of engagement to our long term natural partners, i.e. USA, Japan, Europe and Israel.
c. Use our friendly alliances with middle east region, i.e. Saudi and Iran to extend our national interest in the region and achieve our long-term interests including energy needs.
d. Look into Africa and investments therein to secure India's appetite for natural resources including uranium and plutonium.
e. Enforce on Pakistan the policy that no cross-border terrorism will be tolerated under any circumstances. Use contingency plans to execute the same by surgical force if necessary.
f. Tie up in a major way to develop Afghanistan and use a pincer policy against Pakistan.
g. Engage China in a manner that it respects India and engages with us for mutual benefit and not to further its belligerent interests in the region. Resolve all pending broder issues with China. more
