Naxal Violence - Root Cause
The naxal attacks in Chhatisgarh yesterday are deplorable. 25 of our jawans have been killed by 300 naxals.
Chhatisgarh has been a hot bed of this for the longest time I can remember and the state govt has just been plain ineffective in being able to handle this.
Can we discuss what is at the root of our countrys inability to address naxal violence and then through IPF make a recommendation to Home Minister and Prime Minister. more

My comments were removed from this column. I would like to state again that state government has failed in the matter. The combing operation should be exercised in the area and culprits should be arrested at any cost. If Virappan, the dacoits of Chambalevalley and so many insane murderers were found and punished then why the killers of policemen are not found out and be punished? more

SO, INSTEAD OF "PEECHEY DEKHO...AAAGEY BADO" POLICY OF THE HIGHLY CORRUPTED BABOO(N) S IN ALL STATES, OWING ALLEGIANCE ONLY TO THE U.P.A. PARTIES WHICH RECRUITED THEM, THE CENTRAL GOVT. My understanding based on my personal visits to such places during project development is, 1] Naxalites are Group of common people, men and women both, living generally in remote who have been exploited and disallowed to become part of main stream of the country. 2] Height of disappointment and dis-satisfaction from the frontline politicians cause them to create revolution here and there against the administrative machine of the State and Country. 3] These people require development of their area with right support and not paltry obligations. 4] Cities need to be developed in all such places with schools, colleges, medical colleges and hospitals, sensible surroundings and scope of local working with marketing facilities to the distant places and compulsorily relocate all the people to such cities. These cities could combine many villages around into one say with a population of 5 to 10 lakh and the transport system should be made available for effective working in the identified agricultural land. 5] If such an approach is taken up by an independent and honest institute avoiding political influence I am confident for eliminating all the problems in the name of Naxalites. more
