NDAs last FMs take on economy

Private investment has shrunk as never before in two decades, industrial production has all but collapsed, agriculture is in distress, construction industry, a big employer of the work force, is in the doldrums, the rest of the service sector is also in the slow lane, exports have dwindled, sector after sector of the economy is in distress, demonetisation has proved to be an unmitigated economic disaster, a badly conceived and poorly implemented GST has played havoc with businesses and sunk many of them and countless millions have lost their jobs with hardly any new opportunities coming the way of the new entrants to the labour market."

Resonance anyone? more

The days of patchwork & stunts are over. Dr.MMS started the reforms in 1991 but it didn't progress long and got derailed. The whole mixed economy concept pursued from the time of independence by successive governments in the name of socialism turned out to be milking of public resources for personal benefit of the powerful vested interests. All PSUs started after independence have become perpetual losers due to rampant corruption and irresponsible union activities. Except Petroleum sector which remained mostly under Govt. control & monopoly were shown in paper making profit, but there is rampant corruption in all of the PSUs in this sector. Public sector Banks, Coal India, Unit Trust of India, Railways were cesspool of corruption. To top it, the whole taxation machinery had been also been corrupt to the core. Quality standard of Education suffered due to mushrooming of private institutions run by political class. Old Institutions established by Govt. in early days before 1970 somewhat saved the situation that helped the country to find a footing in the Software related body shopping business of the Indian IT majors in US markets starting nineties. From the year 2000, the IT industry started becoming the sole development engine of the economy driving all other sectors of the economy. All technical people of all disciplines got sucked in the vortex of IT & led to the acute shortage of technical manpower in all other sectors later on. IT as finished its capacity of generating mass employment & will be only suitable for some high-end employment. Honourable PM Modi Government think of coming in 2019 --- If they do not do changes in GST then Modi government should assume they are gone. Modi ji please do changes in GST that:- 1. Electrical items GST is 28 % .electrical items are used in all house hold. Please reduce GST from 28% to 5 to 12 % on Electrical items. I will let you know to on what items you should put 5 % and on what to 12 %.
2. GST on petrol, Diesel & CNG should be added instead of various taxes.
3. GST on industrial rent should be decreased.
4. GST to be imposed on Drinking Alchol (Whisky etc) and can be higher.
5. Similarly all house hold items GST to be decreased such as GAS cylinders etc. But item 1 to 4 to be implemented other wise think of going out of politics.
6. All goverment public dealing department public work is not being done and being delayed as they are not asking for 'Token Money' but creating such situation that public directly of indirectly think of giving of 'Token Money' and get work done. I have practically seen this. So secondly observe and instruct all department to complete all public work and make all work upto date. Please have eyes on them. Department such as MCD, DIIDC, licencing, transport department etc, these are mainly departments.

I am always with BJP that is why informing/suggesting you all this.

Presently, it appears that this Govt at the Centre has miserably failed to govern its own policies. more
Naveen Goel Ji Ur Observation for time being seems good, but the main reason of downfall is we fail to competete in global market because of excessive support to Industry, Now our most of the industries either needs continous financial support to survive or playing with manupulated activities, or become sick. The funny example after demonitization most of them claim, millions loss job, the reason not known, only compulsion was to transfer the payment through bank, why businessman hesitate to transfer payment through bank ,instead for security reason they should encourage it . No doubt Construction industry is big employer, but they also depend on payment if there is no employment in other area, who will purchase. If we recall from last three decades we started loosing our strentgh, in producing quality goods, except Agriculture we are now importing everything & not able to competete in Export market, Even in Agriculture also we fail to store the product, also to make payment to farmers their geniune price. We diluted our institutions like IITs,IIMs etc. by creating no. of institution awarding same degree with no skills ,we are now short of skill workers, teachers, professionals etc. All above was not created in last three years it tooks decade to destroy the efficiency now we are more dependent on imported items. we need financial support for creating toilets but at the same time every house hold has capacity to retain four/five mobile set, to be replaced after every two years. In toto our vision is now short term, we feel now inconvienence even to make a path for good reason. more
