Need transparency in Rafale Deal
Govt wants political parties protected from prosecution for accepting foreign money then why is it refusing to share details of cost of Rafale aircraft bought by Indian tax payer's money? more

The habit of our citizens jumping behind the opposition for points they bring up is foolish. Recently “ Times Now “ channel has debated about Mr Rahul Gandhi’s demand For details about Rafel dealing with France where the government has refused to provide on the ground of national security which Mr Rahul Gandhi objected. The “Time Now” analysis showed that how the UPA I and II refused to answer 14 such queries raised by the then opposition members in the name of national security. Ridiculous. more

Dear Mr. Rai, It will be unwise to drag the forums meant for intellectual discussion into political feuds. It is extremely sad that Prof. Gowda and his cohorts are not aware of the agreement signed by their own government with France in 2008. Even if he is not in the know, it will be extremely naive to even imagine that Mr. Rajiv Gandhi (famous for tearing a proposed ordinance on saving corrupt politicians even before the cabinet meeting had perhaps ended) and Mr. Kapil Sibbal, who was a minister in their Govt. are not aware of this fact. If they and the other party bigwigs (who served as Cabinet Ministers) are not aware, then that party and it's members, individually and collectively, should be barred by law to participate in governance. Coming to the availability of information in public domain, not all information is relevant and should be in public domain. Certainly, good amount of information is available with Prof. Gowda, as is apparent from his leading questions. Even the rest will be known to the seekers either through CAG (if the matter is found to be suspicious) or through ministries. Please note that no politician is an enemy of any other politician. They are strange bed-fellows, who put up a facade of disagreement for votes and consumption of gullible public. As regards this info. for an average citizen, please try through normal and legal channels of RTI. more

If the 65000 and odd members of this group become corruption free. It will start a great movement. But we are not agreeing what is corruption . Our views are different. Can we imagine a name without caste name or surname. There starts the corruption. more

The deal is simple. The cickback comes to BJP coffers in the form of party donations and there is no restriction on amount with no disclosure of donor. What a smart way of nationalist corruption! more

Transparency is desired in every aspect not only Rafale deal. In view of the contract agreement associated with technical aspects concerns may be there but on financial end there should not be any concern unless it is prohibited under the contract from International considerations. AG can audit the deal threadbare. more
