Needed Censor for OTT media platforms urgently...
The Indian content appearing in Over The Top (OTT) media streaming services irrespective of the language, is becoming vulgar day by day. Crass foul language and vulgar slangs are used liberally and it makes viewing very uncomfortable. Just giving a 13+ or 18+ rating shouldn't make anyone eligible to stream anything they wish. Why do I need to listen to vulgar slangs or foul languages which I'm not used to hear or comfortable with just because, I'm 18+?
It's time, Government of India introduces a strong, stringent censor mechanism and validates the audio and visual content prior to streaming in the OTT media platforms. Would the government react??? more

Indian media needs a strict control and censor. There is no control on media on what to show. Media trial is the best example of this. There are authorities like NBA and NBSA but not sure about their functioning. Writing to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been of no use. I have stopped watching TV for past 2 years and newspaper for 1.5 years. more

Control yourself.Who told you tp open the 18+ OTT serial.Even the news channel are not worth seeing.Follow some other good serials more

In fact, the said serial was given good reviews and based on which, I started viewing the same. Why supply trash and ask the viewer to filter? Shouldn't supplying trash content be restricted at the first place? I stopped viewing the moment I felt uncomfortable and switched to elsewhere. Don't you know all action/thriller flicks are rated 18+ these days? more

Banning doesn't work. The government banned porn sites. What's the consequence? I can still access porn. Now regarding OTT platforms. There's PARENTAL CONTROL at least on Amazon Prime Video. Yeah! You can control what you or your family member can see. People should first clean their minds. INDIA IS A RAPE CAPITAL. Rapes, murder, kidnapping was more rampant when there were no OTT platforms. If you want the change, then, be the change. You can't expect or dictate what I should watch. I like watching obscenity, vulgarity. You have no right to dictate me. People like you have no common sense. You guys want to control what I want to eat (Yeah! I love beef and pork) and drink (I love alcohol). This is not a free society. Let people do what they want. I'm not harming or infringing anyone else's rights. Sometimes back an old man was ridiculing my girlfriend over her short dress. He created the scene in society. Somehow we managed to escape. Later on, it came to our attention that this old guy has been accused of pedophilia. So, the thing is that most of the people who act Sanskari (cultured) are either sexually repressed or mentally ill. more

If you don't like it don't watch. Did they put an AK-47 on your head and asked you to watch it? Watch DD instead if all of you are so obsessed with OTT only when there are more than 500 channels. more

This is no argument Sir. Producers/directors of such content also say that. Why do you have to present such crass vulgar series? Due to lockdown regular TV series are not being made, hence OTT found a platform and people wanted to see something new, fresh. It need not necessarily be obscene ,vulgar, double meaning dialogues all the time, just because there is no censor. Yes, I stopped seeing when I found most of it is just nonsense. But makers also have some responsibiilty or no? more
