Neighbourhood/Home precautions against Mosquitoes

An easy way; Just soak a cotton with Phenyle or engine oil or harpic or machine oil, पेट्रोल,डीजल, केरोसिन & just THROW it at the place prompt to breeding. Most of the terrace & mumties are now a days has water logged just above our own heads. Most of us laze to go to the terrace or no one goes to the top of mumties or water tank area. Just do this simple step n encourage other, whatsapp, sms, share on fb about this idea. If you see cross road a building or terrace with water logged, just THROW that soggy cotton adhered with a piece of small stone to curtail the chances of breeding. more

I am living at C 86 sector 61for last 13 years. The drains never saw flowing water. Water always stagnates in the open drains in the entire sector. In fact in the drain near my house a 12 ft long 12 inch dia Hume pipe is jamming the open drain for last 3/4 years. Flooding takes place when it rains and takes few hours after which it is business as usual. God bless. Further to the extant advisories and inputs-construction sites,labourers shanties , kiosks ,waste bins, puddles on roads due to faulty design and construction,waste bins ,collection of rain water in parks and elsewhere are breeding grounds for mosquitoes.Individual precautions such as roll down sleeves at sunset, full pants apply mosquito repellent on exposed body parts is also advised.A collective approach at prevention is the best solution.Regards more

Dear Sir, The breeding of mosquito is more prominent in places where we see water body or open drains. On top of it during monsoon season we do experience water bodies being filled with more watre. In our sector ( sector 42) there is one man made water pond made by nearby people who have cows and buffalos, they have broken the wall from drain and let the water get collected in that area so that the cattle can take a joy dip. ( I wonder how can one dip the cow in that stinky water) the place stinks and this is one reason for huge amount of mosquitos in our society. I have reported this to Noida authority and no action has been taken in past 4 years. Can you please speak with the authority officials and get the drains and that patch covered? Unless these pending requests wont be taken seriously, we wont be able to control mosquito breeding and diseases caused by them. Thanks Sumit more
