Never add honey to hot water - its toxic

While it is fine to add honey to warm water, above 42 degrees centigrade, the all-important ‘medicinal’ molecular structure of honey is changed irrevocably, making it indigestible (in a sense…toxic!!!).

So if you are ever adding honey to a hot lemon drink or use it instead of sugar as a ‘natural’ sweetener in your tea, that’s fine, but just wait until the water/tea has cooled somewhat…it’s nicely warm (rather than boiling hot), before you add the honey.

* A simple test ( to know when the temperature is below 42 degrees C is that you can ‘comfortably’ hold a sip of the drink in your mouth. i.e. it doesn’t burn your tongue. more

Wit hear several "views" on the subject from time to time, but sadly there exist... no certified results. Until then, each to themselves folks....do whatever suits you !!!! And that will be the best solution for you..... more
never add honey to anything its nothing but sugar. Its anti biotic properties are not actually antibiotic. Pure honey is 0% moisture and that doesnt allow any bacteria to grow. If you add to water its or any liquid its anti-bacteria properties are lost. A honey bee lives for 40 days, It produces honey by sucking thousands of flowers in this 40 days. Then it is vomited from one bee to another till it reaches storage where honey is made after many bees vomit it and drink it and vomit it again. in these 40 days one bee produces 1 spoon of honey!! Yes just 1 Spoon for it to consume during winter. We destroy its hive and take it. Or we force it to artificial hives and take its honey and bee keepers then feed them sugar syrup during winter. Honey has no exclusive properties it is just hyped. Sore throat if any one remember our grandmother remedy was Kadi Sakkar Or Rock sugar. When sugar is heated and turned into rock it loses its moisture so that becomes 0% moisture so just like honey it also soothese sore throat. Only difference is sugar has the ability to absorb moisture so it doesnt have the self life of honey but if stored in airtight contains even sugar can stay for as long as honey. Other benefits are just plain lies. About skin I am sure many have heard of sugar used in face packs. Yes honey is sugar and that is why just some good brown sugar works as good as honey. more
