Never buy health insurance on line/ phone.

I purchsed mediclaim when HDFC bank called me to buy HDFC ergo policy. I did not fill any form no medical was done . After 4 years of paying premium , they rejected gall bladder stones removal saying that I concealed that I am asthmatic which many people in Delhi are . They first refused then they agreed to pay. Now they dont say what are the diseases I hide. On phone there was one qns do you have any disease, which is a vague word. SO be careful buy policy when you fill up form so that you know what you have done more

HDFC & other private banks are the worst of all of them. The Security cheques given are not returned by the HDFC bank even after all the loan amount is paid. Furthermore the Pre-payment offered - going to be charged additionally Rs. 28000/- for balance amount of Two+ lacs.), more advisable to opt for Nationalized Banks which are more cumbersome in procedure and disbursements - But certainly not cheater to this effect. more

All HDFC companies - HDFC housing loan, HDFC Bank, HDFC Sec., insurance etc. are very bad & WORST customer friendly. NO SUPPORT. In fact Deepak Parikh has created these to fleece general public & I don't know why he is famous - probably running companies like this. If you can help it, stay away from HDFC in any form. I have found my customer relationship manager only raising his hands in helplessness. more
In purchasing an Insurance (any type) the proposer is bound to place all the material facts related to them (bio-data). Insurance works on mutual faith. As a learned customer, one has to go through the conditions related to exclusions, Pre-existing diseases, printed in the policy document. If not satisfied, proposer has liberty to cancel the policy within 15 days from the date of receipt of the Policy document. more
