Never eat ketchup at street food stalls in unbranded bottled

800 kg of fake tomato sauce was recently seized in Saharanpur! The illegal factory was using synthetic red colours and arrowroot powder to produce sauce with ZERO real tomatoes or natural ingredients. See attached for sure more

Arrowroot powder.. really ? At what ratio..? Bcz Ketchup costs around Rs. 90-160 per kg and Arrowroot powder is around Rs. 400-1500 per kg more

It's undoubtedly a serious matter as it may invite a disorder in health. Such practice is nothing new in this region. It was started with cold drinks and fruit juice tetra pack in late 80's. Tomato sauce was also included in this bracket. But now such activity is rampant.Sometimes packaged product label is so nicely designed that no one suddenly may not identify whether it's a branded product or duplicate. Sharing old knowledge only. more
