It seems unbelievable but happens. The following is my experience. I received a replacement debit card from SBI. I activated it as usual. After one or two days I tried to pay with the card. The transaction did not go through. After five or ten minutes I received a message that my card was blocked for want of KYC and I was asked to fill online. I filled my date of birth and pan. Another message to fill the otp received. I filled. Immediately I received a message that Rs. 25,000/- was deducted from my account. Another message came to fill another otp. Immediately I realised the folly , contacted the branch and within five minutes I made complaints to the cyber crime. It is more than 10 months, nothing happened. So, always be careful. Things happen that belie reality and unbelievable, sometimes beyond logic. more
Unbelievable. Too much to accept. more
It doesn’t make sense to me. I agree with Sri Raghavan that so called OTP doesn’t relate to any bank account. I have a feeling that Ms. Vijaya Nair has a penchant for publicity and raises resources which can’t be substantiated with any facts. more
The OTP generated is from the courier or logistics support systems and will never relate to any of your bank accounts, so this cannot be true. The banking OTP systems are separate channels and no where comes into this picture. more
When you have not ordered simply refuse to accept the delivery and don't share OTP even if it pops up on your Mobile. more
Simple solution. Consumer beware. more
