Mr Atul Chaturvedi must have issued new guidelines after a lot of deliberations and introspection so we must allow him to pursue his course of action. e-commerce is all about future business the way Indians are getting busy and lethargic, e-commerce is best platform to buy your commodities and services. So Govt should think all the ways to earn revenue on all transactions happening in the world of e-commerce. more
E commerce is surviving only due to FDI, brake on FDI is surely going to bring down E commerce boom soon & it is beginning of an end to e commerce boom or exponential growth anytime soon. Flip kart, snap deal, & many r start up are sure to feel the heat. In stead of brake on FDI, Govt should make the workable trading rules like upper limit on discounts, link discounts to some ceiling on over all cap on total sales or turnover etc more
In the Start up India meet some time ago, PM appreciated the spirit of young entrepreneurs in developing India with all our local talents and initiatives. In fact he specially mentioned about the spirit of Mr. Tiwari the young entrepreneur in this regard. There is movement of Make in India. What is the role of young entrepreneurs in this or is it meant for Big businesses? Now 100% in FDI in E-commerce. Already Amezon of USA has taken initiative and going to have biggest complex in Hyderabad outside USA (The Hindu, 31st March, 2016.) Why make great effort in making in India by all means and handover to E- commerce of foreign company to sell in India. Can't our young entrepreneurs take up this also? What is the urgency for all this? In the national interest, it is desirable to have public debate before going further action in this regard. more
Dun you think policy makers have clarity and transparency in their decision. If, so, none of the corrupt ministers and politicians could walk Scot free today. Nothing will happen. This show of new policy on paper will last within few days. This is an eye wash for farmers, who suicide due heavy loss, non-repayment of loan. Non availabity of water, which is full diverted to sugar mills, which are owned by ruling ministers and politicians. more
Very broad guidelines have been given about the seller being solely responsible to enforce warranty/guarantee. In most instances for electronic items the seller redirects you to the manafacturer who may or may not honour the guarantee. It is very important to pinpoint as to who will be responsible for after sales service. I have one suggestion which can be explored and implemented if found feasible. Packing of the items should be video recorded so that the courier company cannot play dirty. Col (Dr) A P Gupta (Retd) Secunderabad more
