NGT Ruling

Very good to hear about efforts of swachh bharat circles and subsequent ngt ruling with fine of 10000 rupees on dumping solid waste.

How do the 3-4 municipalities plan to implement this on ground so it doesnt stau just ruling but sees light of the day.

According to me mp's of bjp and mla's of aap should take charge of this cause and make it happen.

Fine system must be implemented . We Indians are DANDE ke YAR. more
NGT Ruling as well as guidelines are fine but how irresponsible are our ULBs is well known. So, ultimately, it boils down to citizens taking corrective actions as much as possible even when there is nothing much to motivate citizens. No ULB has anything substantial and working facility that processes the solid wastes scientifically..but still citizens should try best to segregate wastes into compostables, cumbustibles and innert. Citizens should also dig up pits where wormicomposting of compostable solid wastes including kitchen wastes and dry leaves and twigs can be done. Citizens should purchase and provide for plastic drums that can store segregated wastes. more
It is the mindset of people which needs to be changed. Same Indians who don't bother for laws and rules and litter the whole town become very disciplined when they go to a foreign country. NGT is another body which the Central Government can tap in case of need. NGT has been given the task to raise funds and they did it by penalizing Sri Sri Sri Ravishankar when he organized the International Meet a few months back on the banks of Yamuna. Now they are going after Airlines alleging that they dump solid waste mid-air (isn't it hilarious?). So swach bharat is just a slogan and even BJP doesn't do what it preaches. This is evident from the wastage they left behind in their conclave and summit all over India. more
NGT very well knows that the present Delhi Government will not do anything except for criticising the Central Govt. and giving multiple ads in newspapers. That is why they have taken the initiative to take care of our Delhi. more
