NMC rules have more issues

Thanks Vineeta for sharing this. I think the NMC has more issues than this also. It is restricting tele consultations if I understand right. Which means Doctors and specialists cannot be consulted online or on zoom/whatsapp.

Similarly they are talking about health platforms not having Doctors reviews and ratings. I think these regulators have lost it.

LC Manager must conduct a survey on this subject. more

THE basic problem is the numbers of doctors ( I would rather say RMP and include non MBBS as well) is huge and their working conditions and social requirements they work in are highly variable and NMC runs with the motto " one size fits all". How can they have uniform rules between a doctor working in AIIMS Delhi and other at a decrepit ramshackle dispensing unit in remote areas of Uttarakhand, Himachai. NE states and so on. There may be genuine benefit and help by twlwmwdicine / whats_app etc. in these situations As for the generic vs branded --- stop the manufacture of branded drugs if you can. Problem solved. Similarly for display of unrecognized qualification .. stop them if you can. For the uninitiated, even IGNOU runs a 'postgraduate diploma in maternal and child health' which is not recognized by NMC. It is there for several decades. What has NMC done to stop it? There are many such. Initiate FIR and take legal action against those who distribute these qualifications. more

Do we really stand for digital India more
Their are few points I would like to raise- When experts are not available/reached in the Rural area what is the solution.Does Doctors & exerts do it for charity or experience or compulsory under training period? Vite man `M` and time factor and emergency etc. plays a key role in all most the cases. Of course, Local doctors and experts can be allowed to do so. OPD charges of some of hospital and experts consultancy charges are to high which sometimes normal people can not afford. Links between Doctors, pharma companies thorough their MR,few retail medical shops linked with hospitals etc. sometimes leads to un necessary recommanded few specific medicine prescriptions which are not at all necessary for the person who is undergoing various treatments. Few big hospitals have monetary target per patience/person which they do it by all ways unethical practices. shifting of personal medicine preparations by expert Doctors as per the individual persons requirement has now become obsolete and gone into the hands of the big pharma companies which earning huge profits which we can not imagine. Now still Ayurveda- Vaidiya practices carry out this process which are effective and specific if diagnosed it properly. more
If On Line consultation is banned, the cost of consultation physically evertime would become inconvenient in Mumbai's Traffic. Plus patient to Doctor direct cosultation would mean that availability of Doctor's time for the patient and the cost would also go up. more
