No Bins for waste disposal
Travelled recently in train 16526 and 16525 - BLR to CPE and return. The sleeper coaches does not have any dust bin at all. So what happens after every meal. The waste and paper plates are thrown out thru the window. more

Modernisation of coaches is already being done, but it involves heavy budjetory support for railways. Most of the old bridges are to be strengthened for high speed and higher axle loads. It must be stedy improvement without putting heavy burden on travelling public! more

I agree with Joseph; as a first and immediate step...all compartments should be provided with dust bins in every copartment...and put in place a mechanism to empty it out in order to encourage people to use it and avoiding overflowing. more

Yes, we are doing thought experiments because we think we are Einstein. :). Let's imagine if we can make the trains go at the speed of light, all the garbage will become energy and that can be used to drive the train. The only trouble is what will happen to the train and the passengers... Just joking. more
