MHA drops a crucial order that required all employers—shops,industry, commercial establishments—to pay wages to workers for the period the units were shut during lockdown.

3 lakh crores package is for running businesses with low income as working capital. It is to be repaid against this loan. Salary cut is a better option. If you insist on payment of wages, they will cut jobs like anything. Those employees with no backing in the company will lose jobs although they may be good. Those with backing will retain their positions although they may be proven liabilities. This hypocracy has led to organizations becoming sick units as employees drawing good wages are contributing less to the companies and economy unlike employees of unorganized sectors. Unethical Job cuts have to be stopped and those retrenched should be taken back without any fuss. more
