No Refund of Fees

Hi, I had paid the fees for one of the course in the private institute for weekend batches. Post hardly 3 batches, the weekend classes got stopped citing that the trainer is on medical leave for 10 days etc. Even sent multiple mail reminders by even keeping their business correspondents, whenever the mail is sent seeking refund of the fees paid they assure that the classes will start next weekend. Can you please help me to know what action can be taken against institute and how this can be achieved. more

Thank you very much for the suggestions, the institute is still running, more
only solution is to file a case with consumer court of your district. In my district also such cases happened and the court ordered to refund in full plus court expenditures also, more
First find out under which police station jurisdiction the coaching center comes under lodge a written complaint with PS ensure to collect Complaint acknowledgment form PS, if no action or resolution to your complaint even after giving sufficient time , file a Case before the Consumer Court with the Proper Payment Receipt and Police Complaint Acknowledgement copy along with all the communication you made while requesting refund. more
File case in District Consumer Court. more
It depends on terms and conditions accepted by you during the time of admission in this institute. Whether the institute is recognised or running with government permission or not..An institute serving for imparting education .. should serve with substitute teacher..If the institute is not closed down then there is less possibility to get refund..but yes you may lodge a complaint with nearest education department of the concerned government or lodge on-line complaint with Ministry of Education more
