No Religion during campaigning for elections

Like Exit polls and wooing voters in kind is banned by election commission as it may influence voters, should we not propose on banning all and everything related to religion used as tool to influence the voters by political parties and media. No debates or news to be aired where religion found to be prime during elections. No candidate or political party members are allowed to make any remarks pertaining to any religion.

I feel if this change is implemented the political parties/members/media will be forced to divert their attention to other issues like development, security and other major and local concerns.

All Local Circle Members lets discuss this issue and try to understand if this can bring any change to our society and develop every corner of our country. Please share your views. more

When selection of candidates is based on caste, then religion is indirectly connected. So, first is to abolish registering any form of "caste data" in any application process. Economic status should be the only criteria. Then no one would know who is who in the caste equation. It will die out over a period of 1-2 decades more

Hello! Col. Pradeep Mitra , Sir ,

Religion is omnipotent & omnipresent . It enjoys a permanent position in this Human and humane World . Now , its Placement cannot be challenged . But , its Displacement & Replacement are news-making round and round the World since it doesn't offer War but awards Peace & Economic Prosperity . Politics is nothing but a career-making in one's limited public life span to clean the Society from bad things to promote niceties . more
Hello! Srimanto Chatterjee (Engineer) , Sir , Development of " Religion + Philosophy " shows that from time to time saints and religious reformers attempted to remove from the thoughts and practices, the Elements of Corruption . Buddha started Buddhism; Mahavir founded Jainism: Basava became the founder of Lingayat religion, Dhyaneshwar and Tukaram initiated the Varakari cult; Guru Nanak inspired Sikhism; Dayananda founded Arya Samaj, and Chaitanaya became Bhakti cult; and as a result of the teachings of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda, Hindu religion flowered into its most attractive Progressive Format . So, Saints are against Corruption and hence , Social Reformers who promoted an amount of Divergence with indescribable Unity . more
