Noida Authority - 4700 ghost contract employees
Noida Authority is paying more than 6 crores every month or 72 crores a year to 4700 'ghost' contract employees, news papers have reported.
Several manpower resourcing agencies are working for Noida Authority to provide carpenters, drivers, electrician, gardener, and plumber etc.
No wonder our property transfer monies etc don't find their way into development/maintenance of public toilets, good quality water and waste disposal.
Clean time. As suggested CAG detailed audit should be done to clean the rot persisting for years. more

However it is also equally important to understand ... who is responsible for this state of affairs? Do we still blame the British? It is high time we realise that it is our dear leaders of the past, right from 1947 onwards, who should get a large share of the blame, individually and collectively. Since too many years, personal interests have ruled way above interests of the country. more

If we see the overall condition in the country, it is obvious that corruption has taken root in our country to such an extent that almost every other person in authority is making money through public systems or public funds. It is true that with the Modi Government at the Center and many states now ruled by BJP/ NDA governments, the system will get washed. But ultimately it is WE who can keep the administration clean by not stooping to getting our own work done faster ..... and so on. Hopefully we can expect a cleaner India in the not too distant future. more

Dear Mr. Ahuja, it is true that not only there are ghost employees whose monthly bills are pocketed by higher officers, but there are banglow peons engaged for household activities of noida officials even after their retirement and monthly bills are being paid by noida. I do not want to name the officer, but it is true that the officer having been retired since 2 years back from NOIDA, the peon who had been giving duty in his house from 9:30 to 6:00 for JHARU POCHA etc. is still engaged in his house and his monthly salary of about 12,000/- is being paid by NOIDA, as no retired person can afford to pay to a worker such a huge salary for just cleaning etc. more

I am totally in sync with Shri Vikram Ahuja here. Do encompass here, that these departments like the GNIDA or the ones sitting in Lucknow are in cahoots in violating the BYe-Laws left right & centre with no fear of the law/s. Perhaps, it is time to highlight these issues to the present CM, Uttar Pradesh, who I beleive will take account of the situation. I am noticing a lot of changes all for the best!. more
