Noida Police Bribe Network
So a cop of Noida revealed how they collect money and how much from whom. Attached are the whatsapp screen shots. Per media reports they do this from developers, traders, other small business.

Police present a profile as muscle of influential people wealthy or in positions of authority. Their behaviour towards ordinary people is one of authority swollen head. Firstly they don't register an FIR. Secondly in UP they insist that written application is in Hindi, which many literates in NCR are weak at. Secondly, they explain that once FIR is registered a criminal case is deemed filed. Informant thereafter is reduced to a mere witness in the case. In existing procedures there is no provision for Police informing informant about progress of FIR. This is a system infirmity. Police Deptt is certainly NOT inclined to rectify this. more

It is strange that Noida Police/ Noida Authority & the UP Govt DO NOT never inform regarding the progress on an FIR registered at a Police Station. Is the person who lodges an FIR not entitled to have a periodic written feed back from the authorities? This is merely an aspect of good governance. Will the authorities care to implement this suggestion, rather than struggling to get their own share of the booty from the laid down channels of corruption? Will a Noida citizen working at a senior level in police/ Noida Authority/ UP Govt. care to give his/ her comments & participate in this forum 'how to make Noida better'. more

There is NOTHING new about it. IPS has become an agency for documentation and investigation of crime by convenience. Administrative services and politicians believe in 'Own comfort and gains first, benefits to the party affiliations next, and the tax payer and the country LAST always and every time. Modi ji ! too in the last four years has only been talking about curbing corruption, amongst bureaucracy at Group A level and nothing at party level for politicians. Bribes are rampant in public dealing levels in Groups C and D. There is no fear of Law and punishment. This is because there is no deterrent demonstrated in practice. If one has money to bribe, one can get away with anything in India. more

What a news? It has opened the Pandora box n will open the eyes of all. You cannot stop this in India. Because it percolates from top to bottom. The whole system is corrupt from top to bottom. We shall have to change the complete DNA of India n it will tale centuries. more

There is hardly any thing new about it. All over the country such things are happening in the enforcement agencies. Our laws and the leadership are to be blamed for it. At many places either the seniors themselves are directly involved or they knowingly tolerate the misdeeds for their vested interest. more
