Noida Water Logging

NOIDA has excellent engineers and IAS officers. If one looks at NOIDA roads either there are no drains on road side or if the drains are provided, the drains along with road berms of 90% roads in NOIDA are encroached by residents in connivance with officers of NOIDA authority. In practice, roads are working as drains. Therefore, I request Chief minister of UP to order a comprehensive exercise to remove encroachments on berms and over drains which have been closed by encroachers. There is a need to prepare overall drainage plan from whole to part and institutes like IIT or CRRI should be associated. more

It is true the Authority does not take even those precautions that are routine. The flooding for colonies and even main roads is something that occurs every year on scheduled time. The concerned departments have well laid out procedures to deal with the problem. But these precautions are not followed: due to apathy, corruption or plain apathy. The Authorities must be made accountable for its inaction. As for the public- we must bear in mind that every time there is a shower, the waters will take time to drain. There is no system in the world that can deal with rain water disposal instantaneously. We should also contribute toward maintenance of drains by not throwing debris / garbage in them. There must be an efficient penalty system for anybody throwing these things in public drains. more

Year after year we keep on seeing such scenes with no solution , No accountability of the concerned individuals or deptt.. more

Like today, i.e. 20th July 2017, the morning showers had an optimum effect on our movement speed, from sector 62 to reach sector 11, it took an hour plus, i.e. a distance of about 9 km !! more
