Is in poor state. Yesterday's fire episode is so saddening with 6 people getting burnt alive.
What is puzzling is that the investigation team has been given 15 days to figure out and report what happened.
They should be given 15 hours to report.
Govt efficiency is in pathetic state. Ultimately cm will have to improve that to have any long term change in state development and governance. more

All these problems start from the fact that Builders do not adhere to norms specified for Fire Fighting. Every Multi-storey building is supposed to have 2 stair cases to provide easier escape in case of fire. No building has this. Fire hydrants are non existent in almost all buildings. There no temperature sensors installed to give advance warning of temperature build ups. These items are so cheap, but who bothers? Who is responsible for these deficiencies? The Approving Agency - of course. But does anyone take action against the corrupt officials in these agencies? The type of action that should be taken on such officials is imprisonment for 10 years and a fine of not less than 50 lakhs. more

While taking Lecture Demonstration on FIRE FIGHTING AND SECURITY in all HCL Facilities on behalf of a SECURUTY COMPANY I found thst basic knowledge of Fire Fighting was lacking. I as a trained and experienced ARMY.RETIRED COLONEL was not even given a hearing. In frustration I left. I remember that day. more

The TAT for every investigation should be defined and along with this government should also time to time audit the safety norms and regulations in every factory and manufacturing unit especially where large machinery and hazardous products are in use. more

Wiil only giving tight schedule of time make the Govt. efficient. Is dedicated team available to do this work only or some team who already has work on hand is entrusted with the work. Will only early receipt of report make the Govt. efficient. It has been already pointed out that fire was due to short circuit & availability of lot of combustible material. Is it not possible for the businessman to set up business processes including premises properly. more
