Non reserved coaches for passengers comfort.

Non reserved coaches can follow prepaid railway card to sweep and book seat just before getting in to train,.These cards can carry the data of adhaar and passenger details to get confirmed ticket at spot. each coach may issue tickets as per capacity. No over crowed to allow for a comfortable journey for unreserved passengers also.
These coaches can be made to sit and travel, and berth allocation for long journey passengers only. more

then it is not unreserved and many people will be left on platform! Reason: numbers are far too many than the seats available. And also remember, India is not UK where there is half hourly service to Leeds from London and similarly for all major routes. You miss the train, you have to wait for long -- from several hours to several days. So, whatever the merits, this is not practical solution. Like in UK, no one buys reservation & on most occasions, just buy the ticket and practically always ( exceptions are there) you get a seat. more
Whatever is possible in UK and other developed foreign contries MAY NOT BE possible in India, because of diversity and other several reasons.... more
Let all people who come to railway station buy a ticket with a serial token number. First a few people should be provided reserved accommodation, balance will tell the necessary accommodation and more services of trains follow according to traffic every day. more
This is very good proposal. more
The existing work culture does not permit any improvement. Privatization of 30% passenger and 40% goods trains will create competitive environment and many ills infested in the working of IR will disappear. India is a large country with HUGE population, no public service should be in the hands of a single PSU. UK is too small a country but having more than 3 private railway companies. We must change with time. more
