Nonfulfillment of commitments by Tata Housing.

I had booked a flat from Tata Housing in Ahmedbad on 13th July 2015. THey had promised that additional room at no cost will be provided if booking is done on-line on 13th July to 15th July 2015 and also that possession will be handed over before Jan 2016. For any delay in handing over possession they had also agreed to pay interest on the deposits made. Till date they have neither given the possession of the premises nor confirmed how additional room free of cost shall be provided, in spite of repeated reminders.

I call upon all the members to write mail to Tata Housing to hand over the possession and additional room to me as per the draft given as trailing mail. I would request all the members to send the mail on following mail ids: brotinbanerjee@tatahousing.com;
tatacare@tatahousing.com.

The draft mail is given here in below:

Dear Sir,

We understand that one of our members Sh. P. Dhar had booked apartment No. 402 in Building No. 33 in your New Haven Compact Project at Taluka Kalol in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat with customer ID No. 2000305185.We have been informed that You had assured one additional room at no cost in the project if booked from 13th July 2015 to 15th July 2015. You had also agreed that for any delay in the project interest@6% shall be paid by you if the possession is not handed over before January 2016.
Our member had booked flat keeping in view the integrity and image of Tata House. You are also selling flats at many places in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurgaon to name a few places. In all these places you have made commitments. We hope that all such commitments are being fulfilled by the Tata Housing Company. We call upon you to fulfil the commitments made to our member and provide the additional room and possession of the flat at the earliest.

Yours Faithfully,

To all the members an appeal is made to send the mail to Mr Brotin Banerjee, MD & CEO of Tata Housing. Our collective action can leave a lasting impact.

With Regards to all the members.

Government should bring discipline through legislation to bring the builders responsibility for any delay or difficulty of the customer. more
Dear Mr. Dhar, I am sorry to note that you do not appear to follow up the matter. Your intention appear to be only to try to name and shame the builder rather than engaging with them for positive and working suggestions without losing any of the contractual benefit for which you are eligible. . As suggested by you I sent two mails to TATA Housing. They have politely responded to both the mails. I have forwarded both their mails to you and requested you to respond to me. But you never bothered to do that. If people start taking this group for a ride like this, the group itself will become ineffective. I am sorry for writing my observation. One lesson I have now learnt is that from now on, I shall not take any members request at the face value. more
File a complaint before the Consumer forum of your area. more
Mr. Dhar, as pointed out by Mr. Pushpavanam, if you have written to Tata already and their response is not satisfactory, please forward copies of all relevant papers that substantiate your claim, including the agreement, document where they have promised the additional room (if it is not part of the agreement), your letter, etc. so as to enable us to verify and act/advice accordingly. You may forward the papers to helpdesk@cag.org.in more
This is wrong to say. When he booked the flat in Ahmadabad. Sonia was the PM and Prez both. Hence Mody getting dragged is wrong. However, before going to consumer court, please lodge a complaint into the PG Portal and wait for the reply. more
