Improving Old Delhi Station - Solutions

1. The entry gates should be widened
2. Better quality PA systems should be installed on the platforms
3. Escalators should be installed on the station to make it easy for the women and elderly to transit
4. CCTV cameras should be installed on the stations
5. RPF should be made accountable for the miss happenings on the station
6. More chairs should be installed on the platforms
7. More fans should be installed on the platforms
8. All the platforms should had long enough sheds to protect the passengers from rain and sun
9. Waiting rooms should be revamped
10. Multiple enquiry counters should be opened on the station to prevent long queues
11. Porters should be strictly follow the rate charts, failing which their badge could be taken away
12. Rate charts should be displayed at different areas on the station
13. A prepaid auto/taxi booth should be place at the Kashmiri Gate side exit


Improving Nizamuddin Station
1. The approach road to the station should be re-laid
2. Street lights should be installed on the approach road
3. Traffic police should be placed to make sure that the parking on the roads in not blocking the roads and leading to jams
4. Proper entry and exit boards should be put up at different places on the station
5. Lifts/escalators should be installed
6. Multiple baggage scanners should be installed to that passengers do not have to wait in line for a long time
7. More sitting arrangement should be done on the platforms
8. The cleaning employees should be made accountable for the filth on the platforms and it should be made spic and span
9. The authorized porter rates should be strictly implemented at the station with the help of the RPF
10. Connectivity of the station with Delhi Metro is much desired. more

DEAR SIR I WISH TO BRING TO YOUR NOTICE THAT SEVERAL TRAINS WERE CANCELLEDBETWEEN CHENNAI BANGALORE AND RETURN FROM FRIDAY 4/5TO TODAY 6/5 PUTTING PASSENGERS LOT OF INCNVENIENCE THE REASON BEING SOME MAINTENANCE WORK AT ARKONAM CAUSING LOTS OF INCONVENIENCE TOPASSENGERS THE CANCELLATION WAS ANNOUNCE LAST MINUTE IE ON THE DAY OF TRAVEL AND NO OTHER ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS MADE . YOU EXPECT PEOPLE TO PLAN THEIR TRAVEL 4 MONTHS IN ADVANCE AND BOOK THE TKT AND FOR SOME REASON IF CANCELLED HEAVY CANCELLATION CHARGES ARE MADE. The railways do not even inform the cancellations and change on timing. Railways should pay penality when the cancel or change time, Are we not paying cancellation charges. Railways are charging cancellation charges even for wait listed passengers. It is not concerned about passenger safety and comfort, but in collecting money from people in some way or the other. more
