Promise of new building , surveys by structural engineers and post pone ment of decision making to build new or repair old stands!
New agitation ,scare by nurses ,doctors patients on the daily chipping peeling of slabs are causing sleep less nights .
The worst scenario with human loss , property destruction is yet to happen but the flux in political circles ,temporary govt holding reigns ,is increasing the waiting time for disaster to happen.
Many old buildings housing ,hospitals, colleges, libraries of British/ Nizam era is calling for attention .
The lesson is to build moderate sized hospitals with 600-800 beds to cater to MCI regulation of teaching medicine.
But the huge palaces with 2000 beds lead to chaos in maintainance and administration in future .
It s safer to shut down the dangerous structures and relocate those departments elsewhere Untill new buildings come up. more
