Old Newspaper vendors
Can weights and measures department check weights and scales used by old Newspaper buyers (Raddi wala)? I have many times caught them by checking the weight of Raddi measured by them and then checking the same on my Weighing scale (domestic weighing scale). the difference is huge, its always more than 40 to 50%!!!! They need to be checked and regularized. more

Corruption,Reservation and Over Population are the main 3 problems India is facing today.If it is not checked/controlled,we do not know where we are going to lead this nation? more

I do fully agree with all the above Members regarding the department of Weights & Measures Dep't to do periodical verification on an yearly basis and penalize those who try and cheat the consumer / customer as they are supposed to have legitimate weights duly approved and sealed by the concerned authorities . more

Cheating and corruption are virtually legalized in India. The Weights & Measures Deptt. is supposed to check all scales in mandis/shops/weigh bridges in the market but they rarely do so. There is need to resurrect or privatize this department for the benefit of consumers. more

All local traders and sellers/ buyers of unwanted items use defective scales. Same way the local vegetable vendors use defectve scale or cheat in weight. We all need to address this issue by buying or selling with vendors who use the right measuring scales. more
