Older vehicle not permitted
Husband sold his maruti yesterday. Had painstakingly prepared it for off-roading but had to sell it due to NGT ban on 15 year+ petrol vehicles. First we pay income tax, then we save and accumulate to buy a car. We pay nearly 50% of the car's value in taxes and then Govt. bans that very car after 15 years. Even if it meets pollution norms. Sad.

In my view it is not for green Delhi but a nexus by all three. it is a type of extortion we are facing. NGT has given his judgement is biased and arbitrary. And it is a nexus because there are several judgements of SC in favour of general public are kept in abeyance. this has been implemented from next day. our agyakari authorities are following directions. is it believable? How a vehicle can be scrap on the basis of age in spite of his engine condition. Now this power has been given to scrappers. MCD, NGT and Scrappers are hands in glove. In one case my vehicle was parked in Palam and has been picked by whom not known. It was not informed or nothing left at parking place. Local police do not have any idea. When asked to register FIR, Police enquired from scrapper. It was told by one scrapper that he will let him know. I was consoled by local police that nothing to worry for misuse . I was not given any information or receipt by scrappers/ MCD. I approached to my known to MCD next day, then a receipt was whatsapp to me in evening by my known from other MCD office, which showed that vehicle had been from Janakpuri. MCD office, Rajagarden, explained many ifs and buts. The section officer behave like king there and same way administrative officer. The vehicle was registered in other state. They always advise to forget your vehicle. more

My Alto car model 2010 did just 5K because of resistance cum clinic and I disposed off to buy new Alto car which is not as efficient as old car New Alto doesn't have central locking and horse shoe shaped gear lock and new Alto car isn't as sturdy as old model We have to follow rules and spend money to buy new cars because 10 years old model was purchased for a little more than 2 lakhs in 2010 and new Alto car was purchased for more than 4 lakhs Depreciation of vehicles and government is earning money through us. more

And what about the car scrapping process ? Does that not cause pollution?Its mostly carried out by untrained people.This must definitely be effecting the environment too. Why can't a government agency check these old cars? Or do they not trust their own employees? Also let us remember that people live on limited budgets post retirement. They need the comfort of a car incase of any emergency. more

This decision is only in Delhi NCR .Why ? My car was lifted by MCD contractor Pineview without informing me. I had to go Kundli parking for getting my belongings in car. Manager of Pineview was very arrogant when asked why lifted without informing me. East Delhi Police refused to do F I R for car . On name of pollution vehicles being lifted just to eye wash ,pollution period will start from Oct to Jan on name of burning Shame to have corrupted team of pollutions. more

Govt decision must be challenged in HC/SC. Atleast fit vehicles should be allowed to ply. more
