On ordering eyewear online
When everyone around you seems to be busy in ordering things online, you too may be tempted to do so, and why not!
But, ordering eyewear online has its short-comings:
When you order eyewear online, you may not get what you order in terms of size, fit, quality, and the fine intricacies of ophthalmic dispensing.
When you order contact lenses online, you are likely to miss on the essential professional advice on the after-care of the product as also the maintenance of needed practice of hygiene.
And, when you order `computerized’ eye test at home for senior citizens online, you are likely to receive not only the sub-standard eye test but also the lack of professional touch.
I’m therefore not only against ordering eyewear and contact lenses online but also against provision of eyewear based on `computerized’ eye testing at home for senior citizens.

I DO AGREE WITH THE DOCTOR BUT DOCTORS ARE DAM COSTLY IN DELHI. I FEEL THE DOCTOR WILL SUGGEST A VERY GOOD DOCTOR WHO CARES FOR THE PEOPLE POCKET. more

Exactly. Even I also think that ordering spectacles online is not a good idea. The fitting, the size, the look etc might be different from what you see in the pictures online. And I'm not too sure if they would exchange it or return it (since the glasses are cut according to the frames and there is a very low possibility that they would be fitted into new frames). Not only this, as Sh. Narendra ji as mentioned, you don't get the necessary professional advice on them. So, according to me, people should refrain themselves from ordering eyewears online. more

Dear Sir, I totally agree with your views but as you are aware there is huge margin in eyewear business now a days, people are forced to by them online. Since you have immense experience in this field, please recommend few shops in NCR where eyewear sold at a nominal margin. more
