One nation one election approved bh cabinet

Something that I had demanded on this very platform has been approved by cabinet of India today.

But let it be clear to all the reason we want one nation one election is not for party in center to sweep elections but to spend less of the public money on elections and less time of netas and babus.

From the time that is freed up they should be doing more public good.

This august group should discuss how such productivity is measured. more

As long as mid term poll is allowed the situation will not improve. One nation one election will be a failure. more
First it was one nation, one election only. But over the period many Govts failed /dismissed, President Rule imposed, thus times have changed. Now if you do one nation one election is implemented , then after say 50-60 years we will have the same condition as is today. more
It is much needed initiative. The saving of money n time of manpower will be enormous. The fear of loss to small parties is baseless. It should be implemented at the earliest. more
It so be as it has been in starting after independence. It will save lot of NATIONAL RESOURCES AND VALUABLE TIME which will be available for other activities in NATIONAL INTERESTS. In case of fall of any elected Government, President Rule should be imposed if remaining period is more than 50% otherwise officiating Government should look after as being done during ELECTION PERIOD. more
No, it is to sweep the elections by the government at the centre. more
It is reasoned that way, "to spend less of the public money on elections and less time of netas and babus", to get citizens support and approved by cabinet, but it is to sweep elections by government at centre. more
