It so be as it has been in starting after independence. It will save lot of NATIONAL RESOURCES AND VALUABLE TIME which will be available for other activities in NATIONAL INTERESTS. In case of fall of any elected Government, President Rule should be imposed if remaining period is more than 50% otherwise officiating Government should look after as being done during ELECTION PERIOD. more  

It is reasoned that way, "to spend less of the public money on elections and less time of netas and babus", to get citizens support and approved by cabinet, but it is to sweep elections by government at centre. more  

It is a welcome move. There are plenty of benefits. But we should also aim at electoral reforms. That is not being initiated. At least we should start with one by one. Has any proposal towards this is submitted to the Givernment for its consideration?. more

Increased Efficiency in Campaigning Focused Campaigns: Political parties can concentrate their resources and campaign efforts in one go, instead of having to spread them over multiple years and different election cycles, making the electoral process more efficient. 7. Better Voter Turnout Higher Participation: A single, well-coordinated election process could potentially boost voter turnout as citizens are more likely to participate in a single comprehensive election compared to several smaller, separate ones. 8. Reduced Election Code Violations Cleaner Campaigns: With elections held simultaneously, political parties may be more careful about adhering to the election code of conduct since they would be under the spotlight for a longer period and across a wider geographical area. more  

Apart from reducing expenses, this move will also get rid of frequent interruptions in governance due to a) model code of conduct b) leaders of the party in power having to spend time for canvassing several times a year. more
